![]() I think I might put the tree tower on hold to build a mother tree type thing: Currently in the middle of building a tree tower which consists of growing trees on top of trees. I got bored of my old map so I deleted it and started a new one. On a fun note though, it seems that skeleton monsters can ride spiders, though spider-riding skeles are rare indeed :p You can't control where the pig goes sadly and it's the only animal you can currently ride. Used for making TNT and not much else.ī) As LF mentioned, those are saddles and you can use them to ride pigs. substance I'm guessing is maybe gunpowder? what's the proper way to make that?Ī) the grey pile is gunpowder. I wonder if they *are* saddles and horses just aren't in the game yet? the other misc. ![]() Maybe I should just dig straight down.Īnyone know what the circled crap is here? The two saddle-looking things, I found in a chest guarded by a spider spawner. Now I'm just wandering aimlessly trying to find some better minerals than iron. I had to intuit how to make some stuff, like glass and grilled pork. I wish the crafting guide at was complete. So if you get a bucket full of lava or water and dump it out, what happens? you get just enough fluid to fill one cube? I accidentally clogged that up with a rock and the water just stopped :( I just climbed to the top of a waterfall because I wanted to see where water comes from, and it looks like they have 1 source cube. Don't quite know what to do with myself most of the time though. and the simple art-style belies the grandeur and beauty of these worlds.īeen playing this a good chunk of today and it is quite fun. You could walk for years and nothing would repeat. The filesystem it uses supports areas up to 8 times larger than the surface of the earth. Survival on the other hand generates its world on the fly, as you're exploring. Classic takes place in a closed cube, filled with randomly generated geometry when you begin. Not only that, but Survival also has the exploration and adventure aspects. That tower is not simply a tower, but inversely it represents a rather sizable underground cavern, hollowed out to hold a forest of trees. While Survival/Alpha has less building materials (currently) than Creative/classic, building feels much more satisfying. Who needs a lava lighthouse when you have a giant stone tower visible from space?Īctually you really don't need either, one of the latest patches added in a craftable compass that always points to your spawn point, though towers and lighthouses look much nicer overall. It makes for an easy to spot landmark if you get lost :3 QUOTE (Geminosity Sep 19 2010, 06:52 AM) If you like exploring I suggest you build a big tower above your base with lights, or preferably a glass container full of lava at the top. It's a blocky world, where you get to survive. Even though Hippocampi may seem majestic and graceful, they do have predators, such as the Sea Serpent and the Shark, so its best to stay away from any hostile mob that’s hungry for them.Because I felt we needed one.First bit of multiplayer with Retales: Hippocampi colts grow into an adult in one full Minecraft day (20 minutes). Hippocampi can also breed by feeding them coral, and a Hippocampus colt will appear from the two Hippocampi once they are done breeding. ![]() Tamed hippocampi can be saddled, can carry chests, and be equipped with armor. Is recommended that the owner of the hippocampus should either use a sponge or a lead to bring into a safe enclosure, so that it does not swim away. Unlike mobs like Pixies (which follow the player around at all times when befriended), hippocampi will keep on moving about when tamed, so itĪ tamed Hippocampus with Diamond Hippocampus Armour They are attracted by players holding Seagrass or Kelp, which are used to tame them. As well as this, they are sluggish and awkward on land, using their hooves to drag themselves across the sand however, in the water, they are graceful, and can swim faster than a player riding aīoat.
